Communications Specialist and Planner
Michelle LaVigne brings a deep understanding of the value and role of community based groups as partners in implementing public education campaigns. She was the lead media Relations director for the National Heart and Stroke Foundation's national conference that brought together 200 health practitioners to Halifax.
Michelle has worked for ten years with family businesses from across the province helping them to address entrepreneurial challenges presented by changing economic times.
In her previous role as Executive Director of Landscape Nova Scotia she brought the organization to national recognition. She has worked with agri-food producers in this role and understands the challenges they face in rural communities.
Michelle understands the needs of entrepreneurs, has facilitated product launches, sponsorship and event planning. She thrives in helping to facilitate and direct sustainability within organizations and works best in fast-paced, changing environments. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Public Relations Degree from Mount Saint Vincent University and began her own communications company in 1998.
